Domtar’s acquisition by Paper Excellence is complete, beginning a new chapter in Domtar’s 173-year story.
The transaction, completed Tuesday, makes Domtar a part of the Paper Excellence group of companies, and Domtar stock will no longer be traded on public exchanges. The company will operate as a stand-alone entity, and the current CEO and management team remain in place.
“As part of the Paper Excellence Group, the future is bright for Domtar,” said John Williams, President and CEO of Domtar. “We will continue to earn the right to be the supplier of choice to our customers with sustainable paper, pulp and packaging products.”
