People around the world rely on Domtar products every day. But do you know just how far and wide our products reach? You might be surprised to see all the different ways our pulp, paper and personal care products are used — from the ordinary to the unexpected, at home and abroad.
Domtar Products: More Than Copy Paper
As the largest integrated manufacturer and marketer of uncoated freesheet paper in North America, we’re known for our communication papers. You’ll find Domtar paper in many places, including the office photocopier and the book on your bedside table.
But our paper also plays a valuable role in food packaging, medical products and construction materials. Domtar specialty paper is there when you unwrap a bandage, open a sugar packet, buy a lottery ticket, take a receipt from a bank machine or choose a cut of meat from the market.
Hidden Domtar Products
In addition to paper, we’re also a major producer of market pulp – papergrade, fluff and specialty. Our pulp is sold to companies that make a wide range of products, including bathroom and facial tissue, paper towels, absorbent hygiene products, electrical insulating papers, building products and more.
Our Personal Care business is a large consumer of our fluff pulp. We manufacture a wide range of absorbent hygiene products for adults, babies and children. These products are sold online, in pharmacies and stores, and through healthcare services in North America, Europe and beyond.
One of our least-visible products is made at EAM Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Domtar. EAM (Engineered Absorbent Materials) designs and manufactures ultra-thin, airlaid absorbent cores using state-of-the-art technology. These are used in feminine hygiene products, adult incontinence products, baby diapers, medical and healthcare applications, and food packaging.
Domtar products reflect our commitment to quality on shelves and in homes in more than 50 countries around the world. Take a look at just a few of the places our products go.
